The football world might’ve affectionately coined him under the nickname “Danny Dimes,” but on Dec. 22, 2019, Daniel Jones needed just a few quarters to show that positive changes were coming in New York’s offensive future. Having already gotten multiple tastes of what supposed-to-be-rare, four-touchdown, no-interception performance felt like, the Giants’ then-quarterback took things a few notches higher, hitting on 23-yard and 33-yard scores in swift succession against Washington. The rewards were quite fruitful for the “Big Apple’s” rookie signal caller, as he curtained the afternoon with a five-touchdown, 352-yard passing display (on 28-of-42), which encouraged a 132.1 passer rating. Such greatness made Jones just NFL history’s third-ever quarterback to record three different four-touchdown (or more) passing games as a rookie.
