For every defense that the NFL world deemed to be unsolvable during 2025’s season, Matthew Stafford always seemed to have a multi-touchdown masterpiece headed in their direction during his Most Valuable Player campaign. Los Angeles’ ageless wonder used Dec. 18, 2025’s game-of-the-season-type showdown to again showcase his vintage skillset, headlined by a perfectly-thrown 48-yard rope that prompted a go-ahead score. Even in Year 17, Stafford was still up for overtime’s task, too, as he hit his trusted go-to on a 41-yard touchdown that positioned the Rams for a near-victory. The Seattle Seahawks’ late-game heroics led to a 38-37 finish, but even in defeat, Stafford lit up the vaunted “Dark Side” defense for 457 yards (on 29-of-49) and three touchdowns, which led to a 110.7 quarterback passer rating.
