During a “homecoming”-type game that marked both a California return and an on-field comeback, Jayden Daniels got reacquainted with another quite familiar place on Oct. 5, 2025: the endzone. On 4th & 7, with Washington looking to turn a likely win over the Chargers into something all-but-guaranteed, Daniels used his electric play-extending abilities to offset a quickly-approaching pass rush, rainbowing an eight-yard touchdown through the skies to Deebo Samuel.The win became something of a highwater mark for 2025's Commanders, who moved to 3-2 following the 27-10 win over Los Angeles. Daniels did his part through a 15-of-26, 231-yard, one-touchdown passing effort alongside eight carries for 39 yards, and Samuel starred on the receiving column with an eight-catch, 96-yard, one-touchdown finish.
