There isn’t much that Harrison Smith hasn’t seen throughout his 14-year, 215-game, Hall of Fame-caliber career, and thus, perhaps it was special that Minnesota’s legend deemed Dec. 25, 2025’s defensive showing to be “one of the best” he’d contributed to. Still accumulating NFC Player of the Week nods a decade-and-a-half into his tenure, Smith was all-world in the Vikings’ all-white uniforms, headlined by a heady interception against Detroit’s Pro Bowl connection. Smith certainly wasn’t alone, as his ambitious teammates — namely Dallas Turner and Andrew Van Ginkel — worked in cohesion to sandwich the Lions’ quarterback for a group effort strip sack, must-sees during a 23-10 win that prompted six takeaways. The win also allowed the Vikings to play spoiler on their NFC North foes’ postseason hopes, alongside a season series sweep.
