In between silencing doubters and keeping Seattle’s “12th Man” roaring with big plays, one after another, Sam Darnold found a reward unlike any other awaiting him at the finish line on Jan. 25, 2026: a trip to Super Bowl LX. As he went highlight-for-highlight with the NFL’s could-be Most Valuable Player, Darnold seized the moment, putting a 42-yard rocket through the skies, and perfectly into the gloves of his superstar receiver. 19 seconds later, the two connected once more to give the Seahawks a lead it wouldn't relinquish in the 31-27 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Darnold continued his almost-unrivaled winning ways through a turnover-free 346-yard passing performance (on 25-of-36), alongside three touchdowns.
