During a late-game 4th & Goal — with both teams in search of a hero — Speights emerged from the Windy City snow as the top contender, telegraphing the Bears’ in-breaking route perfectly for a turnover-forcing pass breakup. Plays of that sort often decide games, and on Jan. 18, 2026, it certainly did, as the Rams survived for a 20-17 road triumph; the second-year playmaker offered his contribution through eight tackles and two pass breakups.
