If George Pickens were looking for a perfect opportunity to show the Cowboys’ faithful what they could expect in Year One in Dallas’ blue-and-silver, Week 4’s Sunday Night Football showdown without his All-Pro sidekick seemed to suffice. Unafraid of the spotlight as the clear cut No. 1 receiving option, Pickens made play-after-play, headlined first by an acrobatic, double-covered 28-yarder that put Dallas on the doorstep of a score. Eyeing a scoring play of his own, Pickens reemerged quarters later, turning his trademark elusiveness and determination into a 28-yard catch-and-run touchdown, giving Dallas a final-minute lead. The 40-40 tie against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 28, 2025 offered mixed emotions, but Pickens’ performance certainly didn’t, as he collected eight receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown.
