If 2025’s first 14 weeks are of any indication, the Falcons’ pass rush is positioned to go from having the NFL’s second-fewest sacks to its second-most, all within a single season. Often recognized as one of the many reasons why, James Pearce Jr. became a headliner during Atlanta’s five-sack afternoon on Nov. 23, 2025, doing his damage first through a QB takedown right on New Orleans’ middle-of-the-field logo. Two quarters later, with a 24-10 victory appearing imminent, Pearce returned for a sack on his own, hunting down the Saints’ fellow rookie signal caller for a good ‘ol fashioned “shoestring tackle,” and an 11-yard loss. In true, game-wrecking form, Pearce closed with a sack-and-a-half, two QB hits, and three pressures.
