After instructing his former team to “buckle up” ahead of Oct. 12, 2025’s reunion, Panthers star Rico Dowdle backed his talk in the best way possible: by operating at high speeds. Having just become the talk of the NFL’s town after a 234-yard demonstration in Week 5, Dowdle epitomized consistency in Carolina’s win over Dallas by turning his out-of-the-backfield route into a 36-yard touchdown snag, one of the afternoon’s many highlights. Unquestionably motivated to perform, Dowdle captained a 30-27 victory over the Cowboys through a box score that included a 30-carry, 183-yard effort, alongside four catches for 56 yards and a score. It stamped Dowdle through NFL history, as just player No. 7 over the last two decades to record back-to-back 200-yard games.
