Anyone keeping tabs on the mid-2010s NFC West can attest to it: whenever Richard Sherman and Seattle’s “Legion of Boom” went head-to-head against the 49ers, it was, without question, must-see TV. Nearly unrivaled at the cornerback position by 2014, the Seahawks’ outspoken superstar put an almost-immediate stamp on Week 13’s game, initially by turning an overthrown pass into an interception. A few quarters later, with victory close enough to taste, Sherman put an exclamation point on a dominant 19-3 win over San Francisco with pick No. 2, securing his status as Nov. 27, 2014’s undisputed star. Alongside the two-takeaway performance, Sherman also tallied two passes defended and two tackles.
