If the NFL’s goal was to put their most electrifying, must-see talents on the field during 2005’s nationally-televised Turkey Day showcase, it’s safe to say they aced it by putting Michael Vick’s one-of-a-kind gifts in the spotlight. A can’t-miss presence from the moment he began his dropback, the Atlanta Falcons’ megastar got the highlight party started with a speedy 19-yard rollout-and-run, planting the seeds for a six-yard touchdown pass just seconds later. Officially in rhythm, Vick also sprinkled in a 32-yard, tight-window dime through traffic, a play that helped secure a 24-point lead, and ultimately, a 27-7 win over the Detroit Lions on Nov. 24, 2005. Vick’s dual-threat gifts encouraged a 146-yard, two-touchdown passing afternoon (on 12-of-22), alongside six carries for 57 yards.
