In a tightly-contested race for the NFC East crown, Philadelphia’s offense discovered that on Nov. 27, 2014, they had the greatest luxury of all: a running back capable of speeding and maneuvering past any traffic known to man. Reminding the NFL audience — and the Dallas Cowboys’ defense — of why they call him “Shady,” LeSean McCoy put almost-one-of-a-kind shiftiness on national showcase, starting with a tone-setting 36-yard carry. Quarters later, with victory within reach, McCoy also added a speedy 38-yard touchdown run, the biggest play in the Eagles’ 33-10 win. McCoy’s magic encouraged both a climb to No. 1 in the division, and history, as he became Philly’s first runner to record four straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons. Extraordinary throughout, McCoy’s trademark “crazy work” came in the form of a 25-carry, 159-yard, one-touchdown masterpiece.
