In the early lead-up to Oct. 5, 2025’s AFC showdown, Houston’s head coach made mention of how difficult it would be to replicate practicing against Baltimore’s do-it-all, Most Valuable Player-winning quarterback. Through 30-yard runs, a near-perfect passing performance, and a 44-10 win in Week 5, C.J. Stroud showed that when everything clicks, the Texans have a versatile, All-Pro-caliber quarterback residing in their locker room as well. The best of Stroud’s big-play rainstorm included 10-yard scoring strikes to both his trusted go-to, back-shoulder touchdown dimes, and everything in between. By afternoon’s end, Stroud — eventually named the AFC Player of the Week — went 23-of-27 for 244 yards and four touchdowns, giving the Texans their highest-scoring road game in franchise history.
