Not that it necessarily came as a surprise to anyone aware of his breathtaking style, but in his first game back after a near-monthlong absence, Jayden Daniels returned with game-changing plays immediately on the mind. Given a strong-armed quarterback’s dream scenario — a clean pocket with multiple receivers downfield — Daniels cashed in, putting a perfectly-accurate 50-yard dime through the skies, pivotal in securing a scoring drive before halftime. Excellence seemed to follow the Commanders thereafter, as they ran off 20 consecutive points during a 27-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 5, 2025. Missing nary a beat in Week 5’s rearrival, Daniels finished with 231 passing yards (on 15-of-26), alongside a touchdown, and an eight-carry, 39-yard complement.
