When scouts think about ways receivers can exhibit toughness, it’s likely that they had something in mind similar to what Puka Nacua offered during Los Angeles’ 14-9 victory in Week 1. Unbothered by neither the Texans’ defense — the sixth-stingiest passing defense a season ago — nor the stitches above his eye, Nacua made himself a must-see, fittingly collecting a no-look pass from his quarterback for a 24-yard pickup. Four plays later, the touchdown-scoring Rams emerged with a lead, a sequence key in conquering Houston on Sept. 7, 2025; Nacua was superb throughout, recording 10 receptions (on 11 targets) for 130 yards.
