As they put on a show under Brazil’s bright lights, the Chiefs’ offense found that success often followed when targeting the location of one player: Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. Suddenly tasked with becoming Kansas City’s WR1, Brown enjoyed a particularly brilliant play on a must-have 4th & 7, racing nearly half of the field’s length before reeling in a 49-yard snag that helped preserve the Chiefs’ comeback hopes. Brown absorbed 16 targets — the most of any player during Week 1’s slate — and that led to a 10-catch, 99-yard statement during the 27-21 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 5, 2025.
