If Abdul Carter wanted the opportunity to showcase his pass-rushing potential against the NFL’s absolute best, New York’s No. 2 pick couldn’t have reasonably asked for a better first test than the quarterback standing opposite him in Washington’s backfield. Unstoppable in his hunt nonetheless, Carter packed speed and shiftiness into one second quarter rep, meeting another one of the Giants’ former first-round defensive stars for a half-sack. The Commanders prevailed 21-6 on Sept. 7, 2025, but Carter impressed, pairing the aforementioned half-sack with three pressures — two of which arriving in under two-and-a-half seconds — and three tackles.
