There’s just something about that final regular-season game in front of one’s home crowd that brings out the absolute best, even for teams mired in struggle. Saving their best for last, the Drew Lock-led Giants sprinkled in big sequences throughout their game-icing nine-play, 70-yard drive, starting with a 18-yard connection to a crossing Wan’Dale Robinson, which was followed by a 35-yard catch-and-run soon thereafter. Lock then called his own number on the game’s dagger, elusively scrambling his way to a five-yard touchdown, giving New York its first 40-point showcase since 2019. Ending the Indianapolis Colts’ postseason aspirations, the Giants treated their fans to a 45-33 win on Dec. 29, 2024.
