Held to just six points over the first three quarters against the Commanders, the soon-to-be Super Bowl winners Philadelphia Eagles returned to what historically worked, starting with a tone-setting nine-yard run from their All-Pro running back. Predictably calm on a pressure-packed stage, Jalen Hurts made his contribution, pairing a 17-yard off-platform connection with A.J. Brown, and a seven-yard first down run to enter Washington territory. Then came time for Kenneth Gainwell, who registered 14-yard and 13-yard runs, putting Philadelphia into “Brotherly Shove” territory. From there, the Eagles' superstar quarterback plowed in for a one-yard score, finishing off the 11-play, 76-yard drive, ultimately setting blueprints for a 26-18 win on Nov. 14, 2024.
