Though the Broncos came into the fourth quarter tied against the Bengals, rookie Denver quarterback Bo Nix twice had to make remarkable touchdown throws to re-tie the game as time slipped away in the final period of this critical Week 17 matchup. First, with just under nine minutes to go, Nix heaved a beautiful ball nearly 70 yards through the air for a 51-yard touchdown to tie the score at 17. Then, with just eight seconds left on the clock, Nix did it again, this time somehow managing to perfectly place an off-balance rocket under pressure between two defenders in the corner of the end zone for another game-tying score, this one to force overtime. All told, Nix threw for 219 yards and three touchdowns in this one, adding another 31 yards with his legs, but Denver would ultimately fall to Cincinnati in overtime, 30-24, on Dec. 28, 2024. Nix finished out his incredible rookie season a week later with a total of 3775 passing yards and 29 touchdowns through the air to go along with another five touchdowns he scored himself as a runner or receiver.
