Any checklist regarding legendary status in Packers lore won’t be official, but one can confirm two aspects to be guaranteed inclusions: (1) memorable postseason runs, and (2) standout play against the Bears and the NFC North. Conveniently positioned to fulfill both requests simultaneously during Jan. 23, 2011’s NFC Championship clash, Greg Jennings commanded the bright lights immediately. Using 22-yard and 26-yard opening drive hookups to help build Green Bay’s scoreboard advantage, Jennings routinely found middle-of-the-field gaps in Chicago’s vaunted defense, ultimately leading to an eight-catch, 130-yard afternoon. Jennings’ chain-moving abilities proved much needed as Green Bay survived for a 21-14 win, solidifying entry into Super Bowl XLV.
