Having already jumped out to an early 14-0 lead over the Titans, the Commanders defense could have eased off the gas a bit and let their opponents settle into the game, but rookie defensive back Mike Sainristil ensured that the Washington offense would get an opportunity to put this game away early. Showcasing both great football instincts and unbelievable strength, Sainristil ripped the ball free from the opposing running back as he was going down and then recovered the ball himself, creating a quick turnover that led to another Commanders touchdown a few plays later. Sainristil finished this one with seven total tackles, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery, helping Washington to a 42-19 win over Tennessee on Dec. 1, 2024.
