Fearless in his approach to attempting down-the-field, home run-type shots all throughout the NFL’s opening month, Brock Purdy’s aggressiveness reached a different stratosphere upon welcoming his AFC East foes into Levi’s Stadium on Sept. 29, 2024. Already on the play-by-play with big-time, chunk gains of 38, 32, and 24 during Week 4’s opening half, Purdy’s hunt remained voracious with San Francisco ahead two scores as he missiled a perfectly-pinpoint 53-yarder to his do-it-all Pro Bowler, reentering the red zone. Through a 30-13 win over the New England Patriots, the big-play 49ers proved too much to handle; invaluable in his role, Purdy offered 288 yards (on 15-of-27 passing) — for 10.7 yards per attempt — accompanied by one touchdown and 11 rushing yards.
