Though he's not a complete stranger to taking the ball into the end zone himself, having previously scored 10 rushing touchdowns in his NFL career, superstar Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow may have a strong argument to adding "dual-threat QB" to his resume after this sensational play in this Sunday night matchup of Week 6. Facing a third-and-18 situation near midfield, Burrow read the defense before the snap and knew he'd likely have a lane, so when he dropped back to pass and saw it open up, he did not hesitate and took off into open space. Getting the first down yardage with ease, Burrow set his sights on a bigger goal, turning on the jets and lunging for the pylon to finish the 47-yard touchdown run in style, opening the scoring and more than doubling his previous career-long run of 23 yards in the process. Burrow would go on to throw for 208 yards and run for a total of 55 yards in this one, scoring once, making clutch plays down the stretch to guide Cincinnati to a 17-7 win over the Giants on Oct. 13, 2024.
