Giving the New England faithful a glimpse of the limitless potential that makes him such a tantalizing quarterback prospect, Patriots rookie Drake Maye dropped back to pass on this play, leaned back, and fired a perfectly-placed ball down the right sideline that hit his receiver in stride just as he was crossing the goal line for a 40-yard score, the first touchdown pass of Maye's young career. The touchdown toss was one of three that Maye would have on the day, as he threw for 243 yards and also ran for a team-high 38 yards rushing. New England would ultimately fall in this one, however, losing 41-21 to Houston on Oct. 13, 2024.
