Legendary Giants quarterback Phil Simms put the offense on his back in the opening week of the 1984 NFL Season. Throwing darts all over the field, Simms completed passes to eight different receivers on his way to amassing 409 passing yards and four touchdown tosses, showing poise in a tight, back-and-forth contest with the division-rival Eagles. Ultimately, the Giants would prevail in this one, winning 28-27 on Sept. 2, 1984.
