(Dec 19, 1994 · Week 16)
Though Larry Allen is best known for his legendary play along the offensive line, one of the most memorable plays of his career came when an interception caused the script to flip in Week 16 of his rookie year, leaving Allen to make a play as a defender. After this pass by the Dallas quarterback was batted at the line and subsequently intercepted, the defender took off running down the sideline towards the end zone. Allen, however, had other plans, as he remarkably closed the gap on the Saints ball carrier, sprinting full speed towards him on a perfect pursuit angle before dragging him down from behind to prevent the touchdown. The Dallas defense would ultimately hold the New Orleans offense to a field goal, meaning Allen's heroics did indeed likely keep four points off the board. The Cowboys would go on to win this one, 24-16, on Dec. 19, 1994.
