With less than two minutes on the clock and the Jaguars trailing by a point, quarterback David Garrard and the Jacksonville offense faced a critical fourth down situation; a failure to convert would have effectively ended the game. Garrard dropped back as if to pass, but then hopped forward and took off running for the first down marker. He would get the first down and then some, seeing nothing but open field in front of him as he kicked it into a higher gear. He juked by one would-be tackler, and then was finally caught after a gain of 32 yards. Three plays later, the Jaguars kicked what would prove to be the game-winning field goal, giving them their first playoff win in eight seasons. Garrard threw for 140 yards and one score, and added 58 more on the ground, as Jacksonville beat the Steelers, 31-29, on Jan. 5, 2008.
