(Jan 27, 1991 · Week 21)
Fresh off his third First-Team All-Pro selection in four seasons and his first Defensive Player of the Year award, Bills defensive end Bruce Smith continued his sensational play in Super Bowl XXV. In the second quarter, Smith accelerated by the left tackle as the quarterback slipped and stumbled, a critical mistake that Smith would not let go unpunished. Though the quarterback got up untouched, it was too late, as Smith was already there to take him back down in the end zone for a safety. Despite Smith's great play, the Bills would fall to the Giants in this one, 20-19, in this matchup on Jan. 27, 1991.
