Tasked with leading his team down nearly the entire length of the field in the pouring rain, rookie Panthers quarterback Bryce Young stepped up and made several clutch throws. First, throwing from his own goal line, he found his tight end for a crucial 19-yard gain. Next, he delivered another ball downfield to his rookie receiver for a 20-yard gain, getting just enough on it despite the extremely difficult conditions. Finally, he threw a perfect dart to another receiver along the sideline, who made a spectacular grab for another 18 yards. Young's clutch throws and leadership led the Panthers down the field to ultimately kick the game-winning field goal, giving Carolina the 9-7 win over Atlanta on Dec. 17, 2023, behind Young's 167 passing yards and 75% completion percentage.
