The Immaculate Reception, voted the greatest play in NFL history, became the career-defining moment of quarterback Terry Bradshaw and running back Franco Harris, as much as it became a play synonymous with the Steelers' dynasty of the 1970s. Trailing 7-6 on 4th and 10 with just 0:22 to play against the Raiders in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, Pittsburgh needed a miracle. And they got one. Bradshaw escaped pressure and launched a pass down the field, which was popped free after contact was made with the intended receiver. Harris, trailing the play, grabbed the tumbling ball out of the air and motored past the stunned Oakland defense for the 60-yard score to put Pittsburgh ahead. Bradshaw finished 11-of-25 for 175 yards and that touchdown. Harris caught five passes for 96 yards and the score, while also carrying the ball 18 times for 64 yards. The iconic play lifted the Steelers to a 13-7 victory over the Raiders on Dec. 23, 1972.
